If you’ve watched the classic Bruce Brown film On Any Sunday, you’ll remember that much of the film was devoted to the riders chasing the AMA’s Grand National championship. To be recognized as the top motorcyclist racer in the US, riders had to accumulate points across multiple competition formats, with focus on flat track and roadracing.
