SurferToday - Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival makes its debut
The inaugural Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival (SBSFF) will make its debut in the Arlington Theatre, in Santa Barbara.
The two-day festival will take place between November 8-9.
The event aims to celebrate surf filmmaking through the different storytelling styles that have help shaped surf culture's rich history.
The organization designed a program that features cult classics, legendary films, and up-and-coming surf movies.
Past and Present
The first edition of the Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival will screen "The Endless Summer" (Bruce Brown, 1964) and "Magnaplasm" (Troy Eckert, 1998).
The line-up also includes more recent flicks like "Bunker77" (Takui Masuda, 2016), "And Two If By Sea" (Justin Purser, 2019), "Lost In Thought" (Hunter Martinez, 2019), "A Corner of The Earth" (Spencer Frost, 2019), and "The Westsiders" (Joshua Pomer, 2010).
